It takes me a long time to work up the energy and nerves to make changes so I have a lot of open land and a lot of buildings are clustered together...but at least I am making an effort to move things around and make it somewhat decent.I don't do 3D designs, I don't do create forests or meadows- I just make place buildings where they fit and try to work with what I have for now.

I have redesigned twice since I have started and was satisfied after both designs. My problem is when new things are added I don't add them to the design. I just put them in open spaces and that part looks a mess. I haven't done anything since before Easter, so all additions after that time are just filling space with no design. I am planning to do another redesign once the holidays are over. I should have the last two plots of land by then.

I'm still building up my land supply, so in the meantime I toss things where I've got room and move things around or decorate when I get the mood. Once I've got all the land (or at least all but the last super-expensive strip) I'll really get down to designing something to be proud of. Then they'll release something else and I'll hate it again.

I used to be happy with my SF, but then I got some incredible Neighbors and I learned a lot. Then I put a bit of thought and effort into it and became very happy with it. THEN we moved, and my Summer became a blur of activity and change, and my edges got sloppy. Now that things are settling down a bit, I plan to buy my last two strips of land and do a nice redesign. I'm just bummed I didn't get to make my first THOH event as organized as I wanted, as Hallowe'en is my favorite time of year. I like my Springfield. It's fairly simple, I hate clutter. I wish I could hide some items a little better so that I could still collect from them, but not see them such as the castles, ufo ect. I would love some new trees, bushes, fences (no more purple), flowers and a stone pavement for walkways to houses, but I am sure that won't happen.

I just haven't quite decided on the details yet. I still have the chocolate fortress to get and about 1/2 the new land to get plus corn growing and Brandine is on her third Spuckler (both due on Xmas), so probably Jan.

Overall happy with it. Tried doing event themed areas but decided to broaden it. I think we are all tweaking at one point or another. I still have the same basic layout but have changed a few things.

My Springfield has been a disaster area since CoC. With the land required for the castles and walls, plus the necessity to add more houses for invaders, I completely went off track from my original plan. And multiple level updates during the events haven't helped matters.

Oh well, at least I'll have something to do if there's another lull.

Once i obtained all available land, i did my total redesign, putting the town square with Jebediah at dead center

At that time, any unused space became "vacant lots", so as new stuff comes out, i just make it work in one of the lots. Or juggle one building for a better fit, but my town has been pretty well set since.

Then that new strip came available. I've yet to buy any because it will pull my landing zone off-center.

Just a few premium buildings id like to better match my town square to the opening sequence: PQ Butterfats, Howards Flowers, the pet store, and a couple that yet to exist like the pawn shop and bakery.

I'm happy with most of my town. I decorate as I go, so it's never been a mess. The outer edges aren't exactly how I want them to be (I have the strip club next to the Buddhist Temple, for example, which is just weird), but I can't do anything about it until I buy more land. I'm currently saving for the ZiffCorp building, so I've just been sticking the newer things on the edges.

I try to keep my town logical and somewhat organized. I definitely let that slip over the last few months and just plunked down newer buildings wherever they fit until I have the motivation to get creative. I know this undertaking will require a lot of deconstructing of areas I already have set up, so the motivation isn't there yet. Perhaps I'll visit my girlfriend, Mary Jane, this weekend and get some inspiration :wink:

Mine is a mess and I want to start over. There are parts I like, so I took screen shots. But everything is getting crammed together. Plus, I took a bunch of stuff out of storage to save up for the extra land strip and then the chocolate tower - which I still don't have the tower. And then my landing screen got thrown off with the extra land. So today when I collect my last round of premium trick-or-treater's bags, I'm nuking my town. I'm designing in some space for new stuff and I am only putting back things I really like. My park is going to be the landing screen and I will redecorate it based on the current event. The goal is to get back up to five stars on the conformity meeter today and then get it in shape before the snow hits. I want a nice town for Christmas.

Not very happy. That's mainly because most of my ideas lately have fallen flat (for one, I spent way too much time trying to build a supercollider to go with the building before giving up). On the other hand, if I was ever very happy with my town, I'm sure I'd stop playing.

I'm 50/50 at the moment. There are parts of my town that I love and parts I don't like at all. I also think parts of my town are in the wrong place and should be moved around but I'm far too lazy for that lol. I'm also running out of space now which might force me to redecorate!

Mine needs work,want to nuke it. But close to buying up all the original land, (not the new strip that costs 600k per square). Waiting on buying the land, also I have Christmas corn growing.
Looks like I'll wait till after the Xmas update to redo the town.
