How to get free donuts by visiting friends?
The more friends you have (there is a max cap at 100), the more chances you have at collecting free donuts as you visit friends.

If you still have FP points to collect then you wont be able to get any donuts, once you have the FP bar full you should start to see some premium currency appearing :)
