I think its all the wee things it misses. I just built a park and I was thinking how funny it was I could place a swing set in my springfield but not in an actual theme park. Its the arrangements of the smaller items in your springfield which make it yours KL not so good for that at the moment.
But it think the thing to do is think of this as KL level one. I'm sure it will get more updates. Just think of all the time you've invested in your springfield you've really only started with KL so of course you won't feel the same about it.
And finally now you've built the thing if you don't go to it once a day your loosing XP which means fewer donuts from bonus levels. Try walking away now.
