- I've been playing Moe's regularly as a sure thing to get the prizes, but I'd probably play Cletus' for fun once I get all the prizes this round. I would think playing the lower paying numbers would pay out better since the odds are higher on those, even if the winnings are more, you're probably a lot more likely to hit a 7 than you are a 12.

According to my spreadsheet, I so rarely see a 7 rolled, it is glaringly obvious that A) EA uses their own number generator, and B) the RNG hates me :cry:karakira4s wrote:
My experience so far shows that if you don't stick to high risk numbers (2 or 12) and go in series from 2 to 12 (11 games) your income will be higher comparing to income from 11 games at Moe's. I made a table with my results and it clearly shows that Dice is better than Slots, but my thread about it is apparently not interesting for tappers here. :)
I read it, just didn't comment. Was hoping more would join, found it very interesting. Also one of the few I've found online where the tests weren't skewed improperly to start with - well done!- Perhaps stating the obvious, but I think the problem with making an informed decision on the dice versus slots issue is lack of solid data on which to base a decision. Most (or all?) of the posts Ive seen with recommendations provide incomplete information, are based on inadequate sample size, and/or seem to embody misunderstandings about statistical reasoning.

EA is using some sort of random number generator only to determine if you win or lose. The numbers that are rolled are meaningless. Example, if you always pick 2, the losing patterns are always 3/5/7, and 4/4/11. Every other outcome, you will win 400 chips. The random number generator only determines if you win or not, not the actual outcome of the dice.- For my nr 5 seems to be my lucky nr. With 6 coins im certain to gain about 200 chips, mostly more. And plenty of other stuff so i can craft.
- Think it's already been said, but pick 7 and you'll win almost every time. Worked for me, anyway and then factor in the occasional 'cheat' and it's better than Moes.
- Just played the dice den 12 times using only 7 as my number. Won every time, that was 110x11 plus one cheat for 400 chips. Got crafting materials 9/12 times. The chip count was better (which is nice) but the real reason to keep trying it looks like crafting materials.
So that was 1610 chips on 12 tokens. Seems better then the slots. Thanks for the tips, I'm going to be going for the dice for a while now although I'm sure I won't win every time like that. - AnnathewickedRising TravelerBecause I'm told to is about it for me currently.............
- Did a little experiment ...
Key:
C = Cheat
BoC = Bonus Coaster
BoK= Bonus Keychains
BoM = Bonus maritinis
Dice - Choosing 12:
1. 3/3/10
2. 2/4/6
3. 3/3/10 - BoC
4. 3/3/10 - BoM
5. 2/4/6
6. 2/4/6
7. 2/4/6 - BoC
8. 3/3/10 - BoC
9. 2/4/6
10. 3/3/10 - BoM
11. 2/9/2 - C 400/BoC
12. 12 - 400
13. 2/4/6
14. 2/4/6
15. 3/3/10
Summary:
- Total Winnings: 400
- Winnings per game: 26.67
- Total Cheats: 1
- Change of cheats per game: 6.67%
- Total bonuses: 4 Coasters, 2 Martini
- Chance of bonuses per game: 40%
Conclusion: Don't pick 12 for dice, you won't win very much! Note that the game is definitely not random, as the losing combination is almost always 3/3/10 or 2/4/6 (the combination of rolls to get these number will differ though, so a roll of 10 could be made of two 5's, or a 6 and 4 ...).
Dice - Choosing 7:
1. 4/10/7 - 110
2. 7 - 110
3. 9/9/5
4. 4/10/7 - 110 BoK
5. 5/7 - 110
6. 8/10/12
7. 10/7 - 110
8. 7 - 110 BoK
9. 12/5/7 - 110 BoM
10. 10/7 - 110
11. 3/7 - 110 BoM
12. 3/7 - 110 BoC
13. 7 - 110
14. 7 - 110
15. 8/10/12 - BoM
Summary:
- Total Winnings: 1320
- Winnings per game: 88
- Total Cheats: 0
- Change of cheats per game: 0%
- Total bonuses: 2 Keychains, 1 Coasters, 3 Martini
- Chance of bonuses per game: 40%
Conclusion: Definitely better than choosing 12! More wins, but less winnings per win.
Moe's Slots:
1. 200
2. 50 BoK
3. 50 BoC
4. BoM
5. 30 BoK
6. C 400
7. 400
8. 30
9. 230
10. 20
11. 40
12. 20
13. 230 BoK
14. 20
15. 40 BoM
Summary:
- Total Winnings: 1760
- Winnings per game: 117.33
- Total Cheats: 1
- Change of cheats per game: 6.67%
- Total bonuses: 3 Keychains, 1 Coasters, 2 Martini
- Chance of bonuses per game: 40%
Conclusion: Best game in town? With that said, I've gone through many games in a row without a win before, so YMMV. Interesting to note that the chance for bonus crafting materials is at 40% for all three choices.
