I FINALLY RECEIVED A VERIFICATION CODE!!!
I received an email from tech support to try logging in again. I logged in and FINALLY received a verification code email!

I've been locked out of my main Springfield for almost two months due to not receiving verification codes. After EA was unable to immediately fix the issue, I kept trying again every once in a while to no effect. I didn't receive an email from EA like Jonofmeans but, inspired by this post, decided to try again and finally got a code! I'm pleased to be back in my town and decided to leave my first forum post to encourage others in the same boat to try again. - I love a good news thread :)

- Congrats. Yes hopefully the codes will start coming for everyone.
Just got off chat with EA support and the person told me the only solution was to merge my level 450+ game with a new account but I would likely loose all my progress, purchases, purchase history, etc. I declined and said I will wait for a better option.
Looks like there is light at the end of a tunnel???? apologies if this is the wrong thread. :-(
