Nothing wrong with farming donuts, but just a warning:. The geniuses at EA tech support will accuse you of cheating or using 3rd party mods if you contact EA for technical support, and they see your town with too many premium items, too many donuts, with little or no donut purchases. You can't argue with them, they will just refuse to help you. What they don't realize is that if I was using 3rd party mods, why would I need their help? It seems like they are not paid to think logically, nor are they active players of the game, or else they would know that it is possible to farm over 1000 donuts a day without cheating.

That's the part I don't get. My collider generates 5x XPs. No donuts. How do I get donuts instead of XPs??

What level are you? When you reach 939 (that's the top) every 1 million XPs generate the Bonus Donuts box to choose one, two or three donuts. Below level 939 I don't remember how many XPs it takes to level up and get a donut reward.

OK thanks, I'm at level 146 it takes 500,000 xps to level up. Then you get one donut.
I play the golden scratch offs for donuts now and then.

There's always hope no matter what level game you're at..

After winning 30 doughnuts in a daily prize mystery box (which was a shock because the last time I opened one I had bought it also had 30 doughnuts in and was fully expecting a Khlav Kalash) I decided to invest 5 into my collider and use the near 4m IGC I had to generate some more ..

I'd given this a go before and had learned a few things from previous experience, so a few hours before I finished work, I placed about 50 KEM and built Honest John's computers (My normal quests were only up to level 44) as it happened, all my characters were on 24hr tasks, then placed my collider and Simpsons house somewhere so as soon as I logged in the game last night, I could activate it and start collecting..

Whilst at work, I was originally planning to spend 1.5m on ten rat trap trucks in order to quickly get my 5D back and then the rest profit, but I realised, that 10 rat trucks would cost 1.5m and get me a base 150,000XP... however, if I built 100 KEM's that would only cost me 1.44m and get me a base 200,000XP

As my multiplier is only 115.65 + all my SH buildings (so 268.65 total) I guess every little helps, so decided to build more KEM than I planned ...

So I farmed my first lot, started off a second of about 50 or so, kept my players on 60m tasks, then after that, just as I was due to go to bed, I collected them and built some more, setting my people on 8hr tasks both for cash and SH currency (I decided not to go all out and continue with other stuff as normal just to see how it would go)

I didn't plan on waking up at about 4am... but seeing as I was up, collected more KEM and planted about 60 more, luckily I got back to sleep soon after..

Woke at 8-ish, collected and placed more... collected all my tasks and back to 60m ones, as I tend to do anyway when not in work..

So with about six hours to go, I've just gone to place my last lot, gone whole hog on this, decided to buy KEMs until I had 1m IGC left (a buffer in case I have to spend 300k getting three on where's Maggie and spend a fortune building something else to continue the basic quests)... I ended up with 110 ... now bearing in mind I think it's taking about 13 KEM's to level up... I should be in for a tidy profit tonight at a cost of about 3m IGC (I know I will have like 1.4m at the end of it or something but I have been earning as well so it's just a rough estimate)

So far I've levelled up 22 times, so 22 doughnuts, minus the initial 5, that leaves 17, I should get at least 8 from the last batch of KEM... so all in all 25 doughnuts for a days work... I don't think that's too shabby..

Add to that I was lucky in having a 3D daily challenge and today I discarded a cash one to gain another 3D daily challenge, plus I've just got another 3 from where's Maggie, then it's all adding up nicely..

And don't forget, the sooner I get to level 939, the easier it will be, because 1mXP at this stage gets you 2 level ups and two doughnuts... after 939 1mXP gets you the bonus boxes which you can buy your way to 3 ... but it's a way off for me yet..

Still I understand now why people do it and it's brought fresh hope into my game for me as I know things are a bit more within my reach a lot quicker than waiting for doughnuts to build up at a 'normal' rate..

I just need to build up IGC to a nice level and chose a day where I can give it some attention...

The best thing that happened to my farming process was the free land tokens in the last even. I bought the most expensive land way up in the top/right corner. I now have a straight line of tiles that acts like an appendix. It's way out of the way, so I build up there.

Pro tip if you're going to do this: place a character-driven building up there so you are constantly drawn to that place when clearing your town.

@girl22721 That won't be happening any time soon, it takes me a while to build up that much IGC and work gets in the way :disappointed:

@matthewtracy Thanks, my town is pretty small at the moment, so i'm not too bad at finding everything, but will keep it in mind for the future.. although I had started running down the top as a place to store the 50 or so spooky houses and quite a few retro townhouses i'd manage to craft in my first couple of events .. plus, like a jigsaw, I wanted to try and do the edges first, saved my free land tokens for those very expensive pieces you're mentioning
