I have to confess.

I'm waiting for a box set of all episodes so I can binge watch but they have yet to release it.

The problem with your box set is that till they stop making the Simpsons they can't make a single box set of every episode.

I've only ever watched one episode, and it was only because there was an in game trivia question based on that episode. Problem was, I was so confused over what I just watched that I had no idea when or where the question was answered so I had to rely on the forums for it.

What the game did for me is I actually remembered how much I loved the show before and started watching it again when I get a chance :)

I've been playing TSTO since Halloween 2013, with only one major absence in gameplay and forum activity, be it actual posting or just lurking. Although I started watching the show when it wasn't even a show (the shorts on the Tracey Ullman show) I think in the last 15 years or so, I've only watched two episodes when they were new. Some of the references in the game are lost on me, unless I look them up, but I find on the whole watching the show isn't necessary for playing the game. I usually buy the box sets as new seasons come out, but I've only ever seen one supposedly "complete" box set for sale, and it was bootlegged. But I digress. If you haven't already, you might want to check out the other boards (Off Topic is usually good for a giggle) and post or lurk to your heart's desire. TL;DR: Welcome to the forum. :thumbup: I don't watch the show much anymore, either.

It's a pity that we are so behind in series of the show in the UK. Channel 4 have given up buying any new series, I think the last one they aired may have been 12 or 13. So the only way to see new episodes is buy the box sets of series. I think the latest release is 17 @ £28. I refuse to hand over my money to the Dirty Digger for Sky!

Yeah, I stopped watching the show a while ago too. The last new episode I saw was the one where Marge and Homer get re-married for like the 3rd time, and Marge is a bridezilla or something. I just got fed up because the story lines are so repetitive.

Since I started playing Tapped Out though, I have seen a few of the recent episodes...mostly the ones they promote, like the electric car one this past weekend, the Halloween one, and the Futurama and Family Guy cross-overs. It's still nowhere near as good as old Simpsons though.

Wait, you've only ever watched ONE episode of The Simpsons...EVER? Like in your whole LIFE just ONE episode?

A) How is that even possible?
B) What attracted you to the game in the first place? :P

We're re-watching the earlier seasons as a family, and my husband point at the screen during an episode and ask, "Is that in your stupid game?" :mrgreen:

I started watching again after discovering the game. The last 2 seasons have been excellent.
