We were just having a conversation yesterday about how this game is staying afloat with all of the donut farming. There were some suggestions of doing just what EA did and I think it's really smart.I love the game and am happy to pay for it. Not $400 bucks a year but a donut pack now and then, absolutely. If there was a danger of this game coming to a close due to lose of income, this is one smart way of saving it. The first thing I want it the RV with the lemon tree on top, I'll wait for the review first. Edit* Does need some tweaking as suggested by others.

I agree with this and I still buy donuts because I love this game but I'd have to admit that it would have been best when the mystery gifts came out.

Just withdraw direct from blunts bank account if profits start to dropI don't think this will change people's habits but nice perk. But may lose some players if they go overboard and people feel only way to get good items is to pay tons of money. Tsto appealed to many because not felt forced to buy all the time. I actually would rather have an occasional ad if it made them more money and kept them from losing freemium playets

It seems like they added an additional benefit and speculation is getting the best of a lot of people. From some posts, it seems like it's a gift with purchase that doesn't expire. So that those who buy donuts will get a free gift on their first purchase of each pack. But again we don't know that to be true.I realize some want all of it and it's cost prohibitive to get all of them. But it's a free gift with purchase. A thank you to those who are making purchases. Can't have the world for free.Either way - Wait - we don't know the details yet.

While I love this game & I fully support this game & the devs. This is a bogus move on their part

it's a good idea..if anything there should be even more prizes associated with such purchases
there MUST be a way that premium players get more out of it than freemium, otherwise it's not fair

what would be nice is if they could publicly offer prizes for those who have ever bought donuts in the past too :smiley:

This is a smart idea on EAs part but I'm not going past the $5 for shelbyville and 60 donuts. I was tempted but I just won't do it. Donuts are still way over priced and this is strait cash for characters and items as 60 donuts is basically worthless to me. You can't even buy a character for that much. Spending $5 in real money should at least allow you to buy a premium character with a building. $20 for 300 donuts is even more of a joke. It should be 1000 donuts for $20.

I'm more annoyed about the timing than anything, as they should have done this when the released the Mystery Presents. I have Google Rewards money I'm planning to spend on donuts, and almost pulled the trigger on Wednesday. I would have been annoyed to miss out on the bonus.

I have never understood why the prices are so high. I think EA would make a fortune if they priced the way iTunes does. 99 cents per item, $1.29, etc. Because psychologically, it's easier to spend 99 cents or a couple bucks a pop, than to drop $100. I buy music all the time, who knows how much I've spent on music and TV shows, but it's way more than I've spent on this game.
