Probably a glitch in your game (albeit a useful one!!).
The Collider was the last prize in Act 3 of the Superheroes Event (Feb 18th-March 31st), and Death Mountain the second prize in that same set. So the game probably assumes if you have the character, you've already got the building.
Check your full inventory, just to make sure it hasn't appeared as well. Otherwise you're stuck, until if/when EA offer it again (probably for donuts), and if you then buy it.
