1. EA isn't hurting on donut sales in mid-November, they had almost 7 million players, who spent an average of $20 US each. Those numbers have gone up, probably by a significant amount; but those numbers aren't out yet.

2. You are doing something wrong. Release all characters from all tasks and let the roam free. When they are all free, one will give you the prompt to start the next quest.
3. Weekly updates aren't likely to come anytime soon, and there are only so many things they can do.
1. 7 million players spending an average of $20 would be $140 Million. According to their latest earnings statement, EVERY game on the Origin platform combined has earned a total of $150 Million over the past year. That's gross - not net. The infographic you cite simply shows the number of donuts spent - that includes the ones people earn in-game. I am simply stating the opinion that EA has not found the sweet spot on pricing with this game. I had no idea it would be such a controversial statement.
2. I have tried not giving characters a task for a full day - doesn't help. I check in every few hours - no quests. Maybe the problem doesn't affect everyone, but it does happen. I haven't had stability issues since the latest updates, but I don't assume that the people who are have been "doing something wrong."
3. Forget I mentioned providing more tasks. I think some variety would be fun, but I guess repeating the same five options over and over is decidedly the best possible scenario. Back to the Kwik-E Mart. Again.
