I did, however, choose to keep a small row of houses near the prison as a matter of design. I think of them as halfway houses or "projects" and I like them there. I have sidewalks and they are somewhat spaced out. I wouldn't call it a farm, just an unsavory part of my Springfield. If we ever get the option to build train tracks, I will move the halfway houses to the wrong side.
They also give me something to tap on since I check in more frequently than I should...
So funny, I have a similar row of houses with the same sentiment. The brown houses look juuust ghetto enough. I grew up in Philly, so excuse me if I convert my suburban houses into grid street style row homes! And when I get krabapple, I know Exactly where she's going
As for ruining the game, I think a small accumulation of houses makes the game more playable. I have 5 brown houses, two blue houses, and two purple houses. They're organized in a way where they def aren't house farming, but any time I open the game I know I have a couple houses waiting to be clicked on. Excessive house farming is annoying though... I've had to unfriend people because I couldnt visit their Springfield; due to the house farming, the game crashed immediately before I could click on even one house. So in conclusion, I think multiple houses has a rightful place in moderation. "house farming lite". Like someone else said when it starts disrupting your design and your buildings are crammed together with no thought, that's when its a problem.
