Incongruous Elixir Amounts

It has been easy to abuse neighbors for previous events. But this seems to be a complete 180.

I was asked by EA help to post my issue here. I am receiving odd amounts of elixir and coins from attacks. I almost always only get 2 or 3 elixir and 1 coin. I send out 45 nerds about six times a day to neighbors and randoms and the results remain the same. EA gave me 15 free doughnuts to "make up" for my loss. While I love doughnuts, this does not cover the coins and elixir lost!

It appears it's not worth visiting friends :( i spent all my nerds on friends and recieved batches of 12, 5, 10 elixirs etc last night i used them on annonomous towns and woke up to 3500 elixirs :shock:

Until i have all the prizes unfortunately it is not worth me visiting friends, especially considering i am quite behind on my gold total

There is a thread on a bug you can use to your advantage to catch up. The bug is still there today after the 8/28 upgrade. Here is my explanation of the bug...

If all your outstanding nerds are attacking buildings, and the maximum time for the attack across them all is T hours, and you leave the game and come back after T hours, then you’ll be credited as if they all won! So for example, if starting from no nerds deployed, you send them on attacks and make sure that you never have them spend more than 12 hours, and then right before bed send as many nerds as your max, then through the day some of them will resolve and get paid out correctly and reported to you, but those final nerds and any remaining out are still working. Now wait more than 12 hours before you start the game again. You’ll get credited as if those remaining all won. Clearly to get the max out of this you’d want to attack random towns. I assume this bug was there from the start of the event, and probably accounts for so many people being way ahead without spending a single donut.

Ha! :)

12 is just an example. Put on enough nerds per building to knock it down to whatever time works for you.

I have exactly the same problem, and EA help asked me to post it here. I only ever get 2 elixir and 1 gold, and I know that this doesn't correspond with any of the amounts you should get even if your attack is thwarted. EA has kindly given me some donuts to buy nerds, but what's the point of buying nerds if I never get the elixir rewards I should get? It's just a waste of donuts.

I hope this gets fixed soon because I'm falling way behind my friends and not enjoying the update at all :(

@LittleSusie: Look at my post above for a way to catch up.

The 2/1 pay out has been reported to EA and they are supposedly working on it. Per tstoaddicts.

I get this as well, but not on all payouts. Just started noticing that I was getting only 2 or 3 elixir since the last update.
