From what I've observed of it, it just flies around the town so its an NPC for now. They may add tasks or animation for it at a later date.

It's just an NPC. No more or less useful than any other NPC. Easy pass unless your a compleationist or have donuts coming out of your ears. Also it's not limited like the Gil Oktoberfest stuff so absolutely no rush to buy if you are interested.
