hacking the game would completely ruin it for me. if i suddenly had unlimited donuts and could get anything i want i would completely lose interest in this game.
So you think it's perfectly fine that people are hacking the game?
it doesn't affect me at all so i don't really care.
Well, good to know that you support hackers and cheaters then.
yes cause that's exactly what i said
Glad we're on the same page then.
You'll eventually realize that repetitive sarcasm is not an effective way to argue, and really just makes you sound like a spoiled teenager with nothing important to say to anyone.
Hacking is an issue with The Simpsons Tapped Out, that is apparent. But what MaxxSpider was suggesting--and this is the attitude most people do or at least should have--is that unlike other games, TS:TO isn't a competitive multiplayer game; one person's town has no impact on another's. There are no leaderboards, no competitive matches, nothing that should really get you bent out of shape over the fact that someone else is breaking the rules.
However, I do understand the frustration that comes with having to pay for things that someone else is getting for free. I can tell you right now that EA does care about hackers because Donuts cost money, and hacking the game to obtain premium currency is literally stealing. But also remember that TS:TO is a casual, freemium game, and the vast, vast majority of players are not hacking anything. Just because you've run across a decent amount of them on the web means nothing when you consider how many millions of players have downloaded and played this game legitimately.
If you run across a hacker, and have actual proof, I would suggest PMing a mod with the link and/or evidence. The mod can then take a look and forward the evidence up the food chain to the community manager at EA if it's warranted for possible actioning.
At least on the NHL and Madden forums, that's how we handle cheaters.
I was just replying sarcasm with sarcasm.
I agree with you that technically hacking does not alter the gameplay for others, but it is the principle that counts.
Imagine if you go out on a dinner with two of your friends. Now imagine if one of your friends pay for the other person as a gesture but doesn't pay for you. Wouldn't you find it a bit rude?
My point is that us TSTO players should all be equal. Either everyone pays for the premium stuff or nobody does. Whether premium items should be free is a different topic but the fact of the matter is that premium items cost donuts and as honest players, we spend real money on them. Therefore it's a slap to our face that other people just go and hack the game and expect others to pick up the bill.
Have you ever heard stories of people who cheat the government by not paying taxes? Does it have any effect on you as a taxpayer? Not really. Do you think that they should stop doing this and receive a punishment for doing this? I'm assuming your answer is yes here, am I right? Because your tax money goes to support people on benefits just like our premium purchases goes to support the costs for servers, maintenance of the game, etc.
Your comparing apples & oranges. What a waste of energy.bren1960 wrote:

No I'm not.- Sure is a lot of snappy rapartee going on here. I really like the comparing apples to oranges come back. Both grow on trees. Both are fruit. Both are rounding. So maybe there is some common ground here.
- um guys up until now EA has done nothing about hackers but starting this week they have been banning hackers. I have been hearing about it on different sites and there was even a post about it on this forums. Also EA cares about hackers a lot because it is taking money away from them

the ones that ppl keep reuploading everytime are just... scam. there are ones that shows THE WACKING DAY update from 2013. rly?
So all these YouTube vids are popping up and I've even tried one for donut hacking and no luck . I think it's some retarded scam- I don't think you realize that EA trying to go after hackers would probably cost them more than the donuts they are "stealing". The problem is clearly not costly enough for their attention so don't get your panties in a bunch.
Also why do people care about hackers. Are you loosing money off of someone else's hacks? I mean seriously of they want to hack let them. These people usually don't play the game for long anyways. This feels more like a jealousy thread more than a concern...
One last thing is that most people don't realize that a real hacker will always find a way to cheat the system, so no matter how much anyone wants to complain they'll always find a way. Not to say that they always win, but they really always find a way. AJtheboss1 wrote:

Why don't people read the entire thread before posting?Khodro wrote:

I, actually, support the hackers.

You are right that I didn't read the whole thread before replying. In my defense I didn't need to read to know what people were talking about. It was kinda obvious what people would be saying.
Though after you pointed it out I did read it, to see if I've missed anything important to suggest that what I've said May be wrong. I wasn't surprised to find nothing that contradicted what I said. The only thing I found surprising is that a senior moderator commented on this.
Also you really haven't answered why you were personally bothered so much that people hack the game? I'd understand if this was COD or something where it effects others around you, but this?
I'm sorry to break this to you but if you get so tight about people being unfair in a game you're in for a huge surprise in the real world. People aren't always fair, that's life. If it effects you personally just stay away from those people, but don't rant about it expecting it to change.
If it really bugs you so much call out the people who you think hacked to moderators and like it was mentioned by the senior mod, it'll go up the chain of command and they'll get banned. I don't personally see the use of that because they'll just open another account and do the same thing all over again. It'll just drive you mad, and it'll waste your time.
My comment wasn't meant to insult you but rather show you it's a waste of time for us to talk about this, because in reality if it bothered the company so much they should be the ones implementing things to stop these people. It's there business and their headache not mine or anyone else who plays this game fairly. Get what I'm getting at?- 4junk3000New Spectator

I'm seeing literally 100's of people posting on various forums on the Internet that they are receiving free donuts from hackers, etc.
EA, are you even TRYING to ban these people or do you not care that people are getting thousands of free donuts and old limited items, etc.?
Mod Edit: Please do not use curse words in topic titles. Thank you.
Dude.
Have you not heard that EA has an elite task force of ninjas specifically for this very issue?
We're not supposed to talk about it, because obviously we don't want to tip of would be offenders.
Unless...you are a cheater and i accidentally just tipped YOU off.
Well played....
