- greydonnNew SpectatorMy guess is it designates where the landlord lives.
- RememberJoySeasoned NovicePerhaps if you check it it designates everyone living there is family and as such will keep them from behaving like tenants, moving out, etc.
Either that or it means the landlord lives on the property or something like that, - FriendlySimmersNew Travelerlooks like its something new to learn as players of the sims4
- EgonVMSeasoned AceI could go be a little overanalytical here.
The checkbox is a square-shaped. Usually in quizzes, square-shape means that you can choose multiple options. Thus I conclude that it could mean that you can designate multiple units as Home Units. Otherwise it would be a circle there, right?
Now, what does it do? Whoo! It's speculation time, everyone!
My guess is simple: Home Unit designates in which units you can move your household in. This would mean that the non-Home Units get tenants through gameplay while Home Units get tenants through Manage Worlds.
That does make me wonder how many Home Units can you have...
Plus we know that landlords don't have to live on the lots they own, so I don't think it would mean that. And I don't think it's to designate what's not a shared space either as you can choose which room is either a shared space or a part of a unit when clicking on a room.
But yeah, I hope it gets answered soon. - SnaveXsRising AdventurerI'm thinking it's to differentiate from shared space and home units on an apartment lot. Not checking that box could mean shared space.
- AncientMuse2Seasoned RookieFor what it's worth, my best guess on what that might be all about:
I'm thinking that click-box is for determining whether or not that lot is your sims' primary residence. This new pack gives us the ability to own several properties (not just rental properties), so there needs to be a way for you to designate which one of those properties (whether it's a whole house or an individual apartment unit) is your primary "home" that you actually live at.
An example scenario:
Your sim owns a home in Willow Creek, another one in Sulani, another one in Snowy Escape, and an apartment block in Oasis Springs. Which house (or apartment suite) is going to be their main (primary, default) residence that your sim will automatically go back to when you click the "go home" button while travelling around other locations? There has to be a main "home" for your sim to go back to by default, whether by command or by their own determination (full autonomy function).... which home do they come back to after work? Ahh, youβre probably right. ?- AgnesValravnNew AdventurerMaybe Home Units are for played Households?
Since there can be 2 played Households per Multi Res, maybe they need to be defined as such?
Or, as mentioned before, this is to define it at the Landlords home, would make sense.
Edit: also community spots are made via choosing "shared space" so its not that.
