Is Krustyland worth the effort? (for now)

I've only been playing for a few weeks, but am up to level 29. I put off building KL for a LONG time because I was busy doing enough other stuff, and frankly it hasn't really appealed to me. Even when checking out friends' towns.

Finally the other day I started it, and it's already seeming like it's practically a second game – apart from stealing characters that could be working in SF. Bear in mind my main goal right now is to max out my levels and FPs, and rack up donuts.

I'm sure down the road I'll be glad to have a whole extra thing to do, and would rather save KL for then. But in the meantime will I be hurting myself if I don't have KL grow alongside SF?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You will need KL for future tasks in between the updates EA put up. So you will really need to grow it along side your town. You can take your time with it. But you do need to build it. Hope that helps :)
  • Normally I would be against working on Krustyland until you reached a higher level. But since this event doesn't require many townspeople and you can tap your own buildings to compensate for their loss it's a good time to work on KL.

Homer is needed for a lot of the content in KL, so you might have to juggle sending him to KL and have him do his required tasks in town.

When he isn't needed he should be in KL along with everyone else who can go finishing the tasks there and earning additional tickets. Krusty should be kept in Springfield due to being needed for Issue 2.

Everyone else in your town should be earning you money. Hold off on working on the Squidport, put your money towards the regular buildings in your town, building buildings with characters should take priority over buildings without characters. And if given the choice, go with the building that has two characters instead of one.
  • I've been wondering about Krustyland too and am glad to come across this topic. Nearly level 42, I think I will hold back till this event is over.

You don't need to have your characters working in KL until you finish building an attraction. It's a good idea to at least have the entrance, KL burger, the gift shop, and the death drop all finished so you can collect tickets when you collect from your SF.

Indeed. You'll particularly need to have it mostly built by level 43.

Need to have it mostly built?! Maybe if you want to complete level 43 quest line asap.

Myself, I withheld on even buying the KL Shuttle until I was forced to. And then I at that point I had to start building out KL. It was/is slightly annoying, but I don't really regret it. I'm still working on completing that Princes and the Pea quest line (about to build Scratchy's Flea Dipper, so Duff Pavilion is a ways away). Meanwhile, I'm in Level 48 in SF (although haven't even bought the Quimby Compound yet). When there are downtimes in SF I'll send nearly all KL-available characters to work in KL.

To the original poster: I guess you might want to slowly chip away at KL, if you really like KL then by all means spend more time there. KL doesn't hold a lot of appeal to me though. I don't mind that I'm "behind" in KL.

Is it better to shovel snow throughout the day or once at the end of the snowfall?
  • I have gone berserk in my Krustyland in a way that I would never consider for my Springfield. Perhaps it is an expression of my Id. I think more Krustyland stuff will come along as a part of a new level so always keep your Krustyland up to scratch.
  • My advice in general is to slow down and enjoy the ride. Once you max level the game will slow down and you can turn your focus to aspirationals, land and design. In regards to KL - I love it. It's an entirely different challenge to design a theme park vs a city - especially with so much land and limited decorations. All that said, focus on the event and KL will be there when it's done.
