Is origin down again?

It's always something :( "GOOD GRIEF!!" (in my Charlie Brown voice)

I bookmarked the Origin US site status page--Get the feeling it will be used a lot.
At least I can visit my own town,

I cant access my friends as soon as i tap the bart/milhouse button it crashes, anyone else got this? :?

I'm not a big game guru. But it's always better to wait. Never chance the server trying to connect to your account when Origin is down; if it can't find it, it will start another town and then you may be screwed.

OMG! Good to know thanks!!! I just logged out and turned off my iPhone because Bart keeps unplugging me and was going to try logging in on my hubby's tablet... So glad I read this first!

Now since I did log in before I read this, and if I loose my town after the issue with Origin is resolved, I will not be happy until I get every single coin spent on the game, refunded. But I do believe nothing will happen to my town. Maybe I'm naive. Though, I have a good impression of the EA customer service (from my own experience with them), so I don't believe they would be too difficult to deal with anyway.

I've had this happen 3-4 times. I just log out and wait, try again later and my town comes back. Same has happened to a friend and he got his town back. Just be patient and don't try to force it.

Anyway, I have no issues whatsoever about logging in to my town. It works all the time. My issue is the other one people seem to have here, I cannot visit my friends. If I try that, then I either get the Bartscreen with connection error and jump out of the game, or I just get Other Springfield and all my friends missing (again)...

But as I have already logged in and done tasks two times before I even saw this warning, I will actually continue playing hourly. If something happens after the servers are fixed again, I am probably affected anyway. So I guess I can only continue playing, not visiting friends, and hope for the best.

Alot of unhelpful posts from you XxEpicnezzxX, and you derail alot of threads too. I shouldn't deign to reply on something like this, since I now contribute to a derailment, but there is often a reason if some nicks get misspelled more than others. Your nick takes some effort to memorize. You have mixed up capital letters and small letters in a jumble, and if people uses autocorrect that makes it even harder to write your nick espescially.

Other reasons some people get their nicks misspelled is because alot of seemingly random numbers in it. Though I simply typed the wrong number for SherryT. I have adressed her in other threads too, with the correct nick, so I think I know it.

Anyway, you seem to be a happy and jolly fellow. Seems you have alot of forumbuddies here, and that's nice. It's always good to have people in a good mood around here, and even though I don't find all the humour here to be funny, don't mind me. I'm obviously just the grumpy fellow. I guess I need a paddlin'

P.s.: By the way, I still cannot visit friends...

Visiting friends can go down when Origin is down. Just give it time.


Only worry if Origin is fine, and you can't visit friends. :mrgreen:

BTW.....checked the Origin status link and everything is green now. So try your friends now.
