Is "Superheroes" the Best Event Yet For Free Donuts?

You might get back about 25% of what it cost to buy her or less...so you would be worse off than you think. At least with her you can earn money from the building and the storyline(two storylines if you have the Cracker Factory)...

Things to consider selling:bloodmobiles, the rat trap delivery van (maybe the backyard bbq but I don't know what the payout is on that)and random aspirational things(I'm hoping I won't have to sell my outdoor diamond aspirational but that's 1.25 million) but I've cashed in my Krustyland ticket stockpile (also if you have lots of green things in your town or lots of brown fences they can add up)

I haven't reached the pie count for Dr. Colossus but I'm happy to hear that free donuts are coming :lol: but Ive still gotten non- related event donuts like 5 from sideshow you 2 days ago, 2 from the level update 1 from cleaning up debris and 4 from visiting neighbors :mrgreen: so far so good :thumbup:

Probably a stupid question....where do I get the free donuts in this event? I know it's a x-amount of carbon rods after you unlock all the prizes for a phase, right? That's how I understand it. I don't generate carbon rods anymore in phase 2.

You're a ways away. Right now, bonus boxes are awarded for every 4000 pies after unlocking Doctor Colossus.

The bonus is for pies, not rods. It was rods during the first issue, but that's over. In three days, we'll have a new issue with a new currency.

Ok I understand now. Any time that was left over after completing an issue. Which I didn't have. Guess I'm gonna miss out on the next wave on donuts too. No way I'm gonna finish before the next issue opens.

I've already lost count of how many free donuts I've gotten this event. However, even though I didn't get any donut UFOs, I'm fairly certain I still got more free donuts at Halloween. They just kept dropping from treat bags.

For me personally, this event is no where near the best event for free donuts. Considering the only ways to earn free donuts is from the bonus boxes, then I don't see how this could be considered the best. So far, at least, although there may be some other opportunites before the event ends. But consider some of the other options that people have mentioned, the free donuts from trivia questions in the Halloween events of 2013, the Stonecutters event had a few with tapping on the table and other options, and then this most recent Halloween with shooting down the UFO's. Until something like these bonuses happen, which add a nice little chunk of donuts to the overall total, then I don't see how this could be considered the best event yet. Although it seems like I read one of these threads during every event, so I know how the power of the moment works. There is no better time than the present.

Anyway, just for me, personally, the best event to earn donuts was Christmas 2012. When we could exchange our Santa Coins for stockings at the end of the event I made over a hundred free donuts alone, plus the free reindeer. The second best event was Halloween 2013, where the prize boxes paid out every 2,000 ghosts popped, and the Burn's circus mystery question, I made over 100 free donuts from that event as well. But that is just my own personal experience.
