Is the 12 box story true?

I'm not frustrated, but mostly disappointed and disinterested.

I've opened 21 boxes, 17 in my common color. Nothing but gold eggs, fences, one pond, and two trees.

It took several days for me to get a basket, then a few more for basket #2. The baskets fell like rain since then, but of course in my common color.

Shortly after the event started I bought the 100 donut deal that gives you enough for 11 boxes of each color - I got the Blocko store as one of my pink prizes, so it definitely can come early on if you get lucky and hit the low probability prize.

That makes sense - I opened the blue boxes before the pink ones so it would have been after my 12th total box.

Yea and besides just because they gave 80-81 as a guarantee doesn't mean you won't get it before then

i dont post often, but i just need to celebrate/brag out loud lmao

last night, i opened my 7th blue box and got johnny fiesta, i screamed! lol
then i opened another and got 100 gold eggs - it brought my total up to 500 - enough for my second gold box.
i hesitated, could i be so lucky as to win something good twice in a row? the answer was: YES lol Banana Dictatorship was mine!

i really wasnt expecting to get anything good this early or at all, especially after reading the odds on here. i was worried at first that i'd walk away without a building but i'm now content with the easter event. :D :D :D

Opening blue only. strategy is open blue till 12 and then get good blue prizes, then pink till 20, then gold.

no stores, no special anything.

I feel both relieved because apparently I don't have to wait for the 12th box, but at the same time I feel bad because I opened more than 12 pink boxes and I haven't got anything good. Now I can't blame the 12 box rule anymore, I just suck :(

IF it's a COMBINED total of 80/81 boxes then I think as a whole the Tapped Out community has got this. But if it's per color then I have no idea.
I haven't rushed/used donuts and started on 4-16. My box total is 36 (I've also had 14 baskets dropped by bunnies). Finally today after 22 blue boxes I got the ECG and after 5 gold boxes got banana dictatorship. These are the first "good" prizes I've got in 8 days of playing.
So maybe there's hope. 80/81 combined would be so fantastic.

...really though, does anyone know if it's a combined total of 80/81 or separate?
