The bottom line is this, I could come up with tons of reasons to re-release the items: Money for EA, they're already in the game so it is no effort to make them accessible again, it isn't fair for those who missed them, it is pointless to make anything one time only (even some tiny shrub or whatever), etc.
Is anyone actually able to give a real reason why the limited time items should not return? All I've seen so far is "I want it all to myself so that I can feel special" (immature), or "they were episode tie-ins so EA couldn't possibly find another way to re-add it to the game and it wouldn't make sense" (since when does simpsons/this game ever make sense and since when is was EA too dumb to find a way to re-add a black hole and Mayan stuff creatively)?
