If you check your characters when they're on the stage they actually get the usual 4 hour payout (assuming they've been sent there by the employment office). I checked this because I have a full rock stage and didn't want to be losing money on Shredder Stevens, Freddy Freeman, Nick Delacourt and Peter Dabruzzio. Their 4 hour tasks are on the rock stage and if they are automatically assigned there by the employment office they earn the usual 260/175. Same happens for Alaska Nebraska on the pop stage.
