Kids Halloween costumes?

...such as Laura Powers has devil ears, someone is the Joker, Ralph is a Monty. Does it have to do with the nightmare bed?

It's not all kids. That's just the random visuals like all year round.

All year round? I've never notice any costume changes during the entire year. Do you mean at the last Halloween event?
  • Not exactly. When visiting friends a random visual task is played for characters that are an "indoor" task like making s'mores. Any animation in the game may appear for the character including the default walking around off-task animation or things that are locked like Halloween trick-or-treating or Cecil's task with the heart sign. If you look closely you'll see trick or treaters all year round, especially for characters like Kearney that lack visual tasks (he has like one visible job).

This feature is also why you'll see a bunch of characters on fixed location tasks right it front of buildings at the entry point. Most campfires will have this if all of the kids are on task or other large groups on indoor tasks at once .

  • BUMP: Hi! Dear EA, please allow us to send as many children in the Nightmare Bed to wear Halloween costumes, as we want? It's WASTED awesome art, to only have one kids at a time. Especially around Halloween, I'd love to have all of my kids out trick or treating.

    Thanks for considering it.

You can see the same effect when you look at your neighbor's Burns Summer Mansion, if they have characters doing tasks there. The characters will all come out with animated tasks. If the character's animated task do not walk around, you could see several characters standing in front of the building in the same spot, doing one of their animated tasks.

If you have a second town, send all your characters on a 1 hour task, most of them will be shopping at KEM, then visit yourself from another game, go to the location of the KEM store, and you can see what I'm talking about.
