Do they do anything besides increase the payout for the Adult Halloween tasks?

I'm going to pass. I don't need a higher payout to get more crafting supplies for things that I'm not even interested in crafting. I'm doing the quests to get the donuts, not the crafting supplies.
This has been a very disappointing, and frankly boring, THOH event. I like the campfire and the tents, but that's about it.
