The issue only comes up if you have "too many" donuts (as in hundreds of thousands) or even millions) AND you contact customer support AND the customer support representative doesn't understand that you can 'farm' donuts.

I can personally confirm this. They will see you have a lot of donuts, and no actual purchases using real world currency, so they will just accuse you of using 3rd party mods. You are guilty with no way to prove your innocence. You have no way to talk to the "specialist" that determined you are a cheater, nor can the front line agent conference them into the call. Since you have been labeled a cheater, they will refuse to help you and just close out your case.

There have been at least a small number of cases in which accused users were able to successfully appeal a preliminary determination that they were cheating/modding. But in general, it’s not easy and a successful outcome is far from guaranteed. To my way of thinking, this is the primary downside to farming copious numbers of donuts.
