It's random, but they generally don't do full events back to back. Probably a tie-in or a week or two mini-event.

was it really that much work though? while this event has generally been boring for me, i'm not bitter about it not being as fun as destination sf was. it's almost like the whole thing has been downtime between events, but with new content thrown in every few days... and craftables that are actually useful, and make sense in my town. it's allowed me to catch up on some stuff that was long overdue... i've been able to organize/store some items, redesign some areas, design new areas (including the the area for this event), buy up all the remaining land tiles i had yet to unlock, significantly boost my multiplier bonus, and build up my donut reserve above 1k.

while i agree 40 days is just too long for any event, i enjoyed the relaxed pace and all the buildings/characters/items. ready for the next!

I think the pattern changed a bit but not by much. I haven't actually tracked the recent changes by number but previously it is fairly predictable. Looks like 30 to 40 day events with 3 to 4 week "downtime" that will include 1 minor event. Tie-ins can probably be predicted but those are based on the TV schedule, not on a cyclical structure. I'd say that LPN has a pretty good pulse on those. Apparently they're in the files now instead of just popping in the day of.

Major events always drop on a Tuesday, so don't 24h your characters past noon that week. Minor events ...I think.... are on Thursdays (or did one drop Wednesday recently?), lasting two weeks. Tie-ins are mid-week, too.

It seemed like work to me as it was a struggle to complete act 1 and having to try and log in all the time whilst in my job was a right old ball ache..

I think the event landing at the time it did in my work schedule, the frustration in trying to complete act 1, the fact it didn't even seem like a week since the last event and I hadn't had time to do some designing all contributed to my irksomeness of this event...

Hopefully with the event ending and me being able to miss scheduled check ins during the day plus with a week off coming up, it will give me chance to try some proper designing, unlike the little bits I've been doing the last few days, before the next event hits and I can go at it again with a more pleasurable feeling and not suddenly realising at work, 'OMG I need to check in soon or after four hours I won't be able to reset them to finish before I go to bed and i'm gonna miss out'....that made it more of a chore for me than a fun gaming experience..

I agree that I've enjoined that it's been a mellow event.

This event coincided with my finally starting to really donut farm so it's been the most successful event for me ever. I got a lot of characters I didn't have before but wanted and good decorations. I'd call it a win.

I'm trying to get camera hat Homer still, he's the only secret agent left I need but it's going to be close. Need 28 donuts before it ends.
