Let's pretend for a minute...

I'd probably feel a little less frustrated, talking about it on here and seeing everyone else getting riled up gets me even more angry lol, it's like we feed off one another! But I still think I'd be pretty pissed off by now and that I'd have figured out that the odds are stacked way against me!.

I think I'd be just as annoyed if not more.
At the beginning of this event I rarely ever read the forums and this event got kinda old fast.
Once I had won a few of the better prizes and it was revealed that you could spend 500 uncommon eggs to win 250 common or 500 golden eggs to get 250 common or uncommon eggs it annoyed me to no end.
I figured as you won the better prizes it would improve your chances to win the others. But Nooooooo...
I for one will be happy once this event ends.

I would have no way of knowing there was any relation between clearing bunnies before harvesting carrots. And if I was a systematic, consistent player who from the beginning harvested my crop before clearing bunnies, I would NEVER have seen a bunny emerge from the farm.

I would have no way to know why some of my baskets were getting eggs from neighbors and others were not. (Without a feeder town, or direct personal contact from neighbors, I would have no reason to think those empty baskets had no icons)

I would have no way of knowing that the baskets would stop when I finished the quest line.

I would have no way of knowing WHY my baskets suddenly disappeared.

I would have no way of knowing that if I waited longer than five hours between clearing my town of bunnies, I was going to get screwed.

I would have no way of knowing why sometimes I would only get 200 eggs from a basket that had 400 eggs inside.

I would have no way of knowing that the "trick" to getting those other 200 eggs was to reboot.

I would have no way of knowing that the odds and intentionally disgusting implementation of this event would make it more likely that I would be the next Tsar than come away with a decent result.

Knowledge is power... And a curse, I guess.

Honestly, i think I would be way more annoyed if I did not have a bunch of other people telling me that it is "normal" and that they have the same tings happening to them.

I am a "new"ish player. The first day i logged in to my Springfield there was an update (since when I had actually downloaded it a week prior and not played) was the superbowl update- turns out. I thought that was awesome, I really did...I send Homer and Lisa on these other tasks and i get a cool blimp. If you want this other Superbowl stuff it costs this much- I did not then and do not now need the Duff Racer.. or the other whatever it was. But it was CLEAR- you do this it will take days! you get this- if you want it to go faster-and have more things- you pay.

The next things was V-day. I think it was so much easier to win/get hearts and the 400 needed for one spin was do-able. Ned's task was cute and got you one whole spin- I think every 4 hours? maybe it was 12..anyway reasonable. My K-land is full up of ponds and gazebos and fences and benches.. MEH. But, I got all the things that were offered free without too much of a problem.

This event.. oh, man to compare to the only 3 events (*. pats day was sort of a waste of time- love the FPoints though) know (i hit level 40 as Easter event was starting, so I am a consistent daily player with enough friends and enjoyment of the game) it is tragic- super loooong egg earning tasks that do NOT amount to much-170 eggs a day for sending 5 characters on tasks for 12-32 hours! I would have assumed that baskets did not really figure in and would have been pleased to get them free- altho I am in some weird random number hell and have only seen 15 total baskets in 3+weeks now averaging to 1 a day. Again, 400 eggs- not even a whole spin.

I would honestly be wondering what I was doing wrong- or what the "trick" was. And I probably woudl have stopped playing. Knowing that the fault is not mine and we are all in the same "USS Pissy about this event" boat has helped me to just shrug and say "will my life be over if I don't get hugs ( I couldn't care less aout that Bobbins person)?

So to all of you and the Bloggers and posters and lamenters and happy in spite of it all people. THANK YOU!!

I think I'd have got bored and stopped playing a long time ago if it weren't for the forum.

Thanks to all who took the time to write out such thoughtful replies. Its interesting to see other points of view. As far as this event goes I've actually been pretty lucky. I haven't had any glitched baskets, found the fabrege egg a couple hours after I finished the quest, and have all but 3 of the good prizes. I guess that's why my view of the event wouldn't have been that bad if I hadn't known what was going on. For all the other people who experienced a multitude of issues with this event, I assume it would've been much worse. I guess I forgot to take that into account when I wrote the original post. For a lot a people this must have been really confusing and frustrating when things didn't work properly and they had no idea what was going on. I now feel bad for all the poor people still searching for their egg and having no idea what's going on.

It actually looks like n00bs are having fun with this event. Probably since they've never experienced anything better. All the accounts I see calling for "positivity" have 2014 join dates. It reminds me of Viggle. Was really great to start with lots of free stuff then the stuff got harder and harder to get as you had to do more work to get less. And all the people who joined at launch left, leaving the think positive people to fend for themselves.

I would of felt the same way. I was very excited for the first day of the event (aka before I know that they were boxes) after I found there was boxes I was still kind of excited until I found out about the odds... Lets say I did not go on the forums I would of been excited for a little while longer until I realized that its totally rigged and then I would probably make a forums account to rant lol. BTW you cant say that we would be happy without the forums because the original haters on the forum did not have other forum posts to inspire their hate.
