Wait till you been playing for over 3years like myself and then add up how much you have spent on this game
I know mine is over a grand up to Whacking day event, havent worked it out since that being i dont wanna know  Dont think i will be paying for the kids to go to college if the events get more expensive http://i.imgur.com/1wc01R2.gif
When the game 1st started your donuts used to go SO MUCH Further 300 could last at least two events maybe more depending on the content, be lucky if that amount lasts two purchases now
Ah I remember those days. Premium characters were cheap. The last time we actually got a cheap premium character was the French Waiter for 50 donuts during the Level 47 update, which was released on November 2014. And what a great character he has been.- I'm strictly a freemium player. Been playing for about a year and have spent doughnuts on Squeaky-voice Teen, Bumblebee Man, Hans Moleman, Otto, Rich Texan, and the tire fire. I won Kearny and Blue-hair Lawyer last month but spent over 30 doughnuts doing so. I also have 3 Lard Lad Doughnuts and 4 Itchy and Scratchy . Right now, I'm saving for Barney. Still have 136 doughnuts to go. It's a slow process, but I'm saving money.
- smohqyNew SpectatorMolzpink and I have probably spent over $1,000 since I surprised her with the first donut purchase for her birthday at the end of April '14. It was just a $10 purchase, and I made a little pink donut card that simply said, "Buy yourself something nice." I slipped that in her iPad case, and the door to the Dark Side flung wide shortly after.
But, as sdarral stated, it woulda just been spent on something else. Something more temporary and probably long-forgotten by now. People say we're just buying pixels, but these pixels make me smile everyday. That's worth it to me. :) NeoSEC28 wrote:

- Cheapest form of entertainment available. Its not the dark side - its a smart way of investing back into the longevity of something that provides endless hours of entertainment.
- raises hand
not been keeping count but I bet I've spent close to 1000 in all my years, I keep trying to tell myself I've only spent 500.
still cheaper than a night out if you're me. I can rack up a 100 bar and appetizer tab real quick if I go out. - I've only paid for 1 boatload as I really wanted Barney & a few others. I'm now down to 140 donuts which I was temped to spend on Frink but I know if my donut count shows 0 then I will be tempted to buy more so going to have to stay freemium for a while. I'm due my mystery box tomorrow so hoping for 30 donuts but I bet I get another Onda car.
- I lost count on the number of boatloads I have purchased... Perhaps 10.
- I try not to think about how much I've spent on the game. At first, I would find ways of getting free or seriously reduced Google Play credit. Then I cashed in some credit card rewards on a boatload. Then I bought more.
After the Gil deal fiasco over Christmas, I decided I wasn't going to buy anymore donuts. I've stuck by it so far...
