Lost King Snorky

When I first started playing this morning, the dialogue box popped up to notify me that I had collected enough goo and had earned King Snorky. Then the box alerting me to the number of goo collected via gremlins placed in other towns popped up. Then the game crashed and on restart my goo count was reset to zero, and then it crashed again. On restart, my goo count was partially restored, but less than the amount required for King Snorky, but the prize progress box showed that I had the prize. I kept earning goo and passed the point where I should have him again, but nothing happened. He is not in storage, and I just don't know what to do.
