LPN's contributions to this forum is a major reason I visit and appreciate all the work he does to help us. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think that LPN and our Mods are volunteering there time and dont get $ paid $ for the countless hours they dedicate to this forum to help everyone who visits. Maybe some of us may take their work for granted? I believe I shouldn't be overly critical of how things are run, but that doesn't mean our forum cannot continue to improve either.
Although I do not care about reading spoilers, and would expect them if I visited a forum regarding discussing the game, I can see why some visitors wouldn't want to see this information.
My thought would be, similar to how the weekly rail yard thread was "solved", by LPN creating a single announcement thread with possible spoilers.
Topic could read:
"Spoilers and Speculation - Last Update 03.17.17
Hi, on the old forum it was done pretty much that way with all the information about everything in the event in one place, unfortunately this new forum has a limit on the amount of text you can put in each post so he has no choice but to make multiple posts each covering a specific part then he usually makes a single post with a list of links to each thread that tends to get stickied to the top of the forum.- 74hands8 years agoNew SpectatorLPN is brilliant and his hard work and posts appreciated by 99.99% of the community, me included.
The OP is obviously part of the 0.01% who disagree yet feel compelled to open his posts despite the fact they know they will be outraged by doing so. There's no helping some people.
OP, you've had your say, and the vast majority think you're wrong. Accept it and move on.
Ad-mods, please lock this thread. - So many of you are twisting this all around... at no point did I say that LPN was not appreciated or important or anything like that. In fact, I did say that I know how valuable he is. I, myself, have used his posts for help many many times, and will continue to do so in the future.
I just don't think anyone (especially him because he should know better) should be allowed to put up game info on the game's official forum before it goes live in the game. He has other non-EA sites where is free to do that if he wants. And yes, I know, 'well then just don't look at it' is a great solution. And I don't look at such threads labeled with 'spoiler' but it is unavoidable when it gets included in the thread title.
This is a persistent problem here and needs to be addressed and rectified in some way. I'm not the first person to feel this way, nor the first person to mention the problem. There have been complaints of this in the past, yet it continues.
There's my piece on the matter. Go ahead and lock now. - And as a further note, it is LP...Nintendo...IT. As in persons initials, favorite gaming system, country where home is.

I thought LP stood for "let's play"?- I guess it works both ways, Leo P & Let's Play

I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, guaranteed. Most people simply won't speak up because they know they will get attacked by the shepherd's most loyal of sheep, like I currently am. But I am not most people, I will and am speaking up. I have been noticing this pattern of unreleased content making it's way past mods for a long time now and it's not right. And as HomerND84's comment made me think, maybe it isn't LPN's fault, but the mods who are to blame for letting it all go to post. Granted, nobody should be trying to post it to begin with. I barely even find it necessary to comment here, so trust me, for me to go out of my way to create my first ever thread it is become there is an issue on this forum that needs addressed. And to repeatedly tell me 'then don't read it' is not good enough when it is more often than not unavoidably placed in the thread titles.
Wow.. Let's see,- Call out LPN as the "voice of the community."
- Calls that same community "Sheep" when they do not agree
- Goes on to blame the Moderators (Who do a really great job)
ARE YOU SERIOUS? You're really on a roll here. :D
I agree with you @ghallmark814, maybe he should just stop visiting this forum altogether. I only read the threads I am interested in, and if something in the title indicates a subject I don't know about or want to know about, I just avoid it. To attack the forum and its members as a whole in his " first ever" thread is the epitome of rude. - Call out LPN as the "voice of the community."
- OP: Is that you, Josh? (Old timers on this forum will remember this individual)
