I have a ridiculously detailed spreadsheet. (Not because I'm obsessed with the game. Nope. I'm obsessed with spreadsheets. Honestly. I love the things. I have a spreadsheet detailing all the light bulbs required in our house and how many of each kind we have in stock with auto-alerts when we run low... yes, light bulbs, don't pity me, my spreadsheet is amazing.) I note down who I visit each day (as sometimes I don't make it to everyone, though I usually do), and whether they have things on the glitch or not. I then note down what they tap when they visit me: tile, channel 6, farm, other.
Real-life friends and forum regulars are noted in yellow and are safe.
Anyone who hasn't visited in a week or so and has other signs of inactivity (no change to level, aimless characters, etc) gets axed, logic being that they're probably inactive anyway.
Anyone who repeatedly avoids tapping my glitches but is using the glitch themselves gets axed, logic being that they're mean and selfish.
Anyone who doesn't have the Christmas update within the first couple of days will also be axed.
Other than that, if you're visiting me, you're staying on the list. Only exception would be to make way for a real-life friend or a forum regular, in which case those who are least helpful to me (e.g. the one who actively seeks out my brown houses every single visit) are top of the list of people to cull.
Mostly, people have a hard time getting on the list in the first place. Any random invites get ignored if my list is full, which it usually is. If it somehow isn't, anyone who's annoyed me on the forum (whether they know it or not, muahahahaha) gets declined. Anyone with rude, offensive, or sexually explicit names gets declined. Anyone who sends a PM saying "bro, add me" gets declined.
Anyone who bothers to PM and ask nicely gets in and goes on the safe list.
Wow, that was a lot of words.
You sound like my spouse.

Oh, he's very much in charge of them. All that reaching and changing and what have you. I just oversee, push paper, advise on methods of twisting, that sort of thing.- I only delete friends who haven't played for months. I don't care if they visit or have nice towns.
Pull_Up_A_Chair..., I noticed you posted a couple of pictures of my side town house farm project. Was it not pretty enough for you :) - Crickey, if I got rid of all my neighbours who havent visited since Halloween, then I'd only have 5 or 6 left :(
I dont want to make out like I visit all my neighbours everyday, I dont. But I do try and visit the better ones daily. direwolf987 wrote:

I doubt that the pic I took was of your side town... Am I one of your side town friends?Arlandria606 wrote:

I'm obsessed with spreadsheets. But I haven't gone that far and I make spreadsheets for everything :shock:Pull_Up_A_Chair wrote:

It looked an awful lot like my side town. White houses as far as the eye can see. Or from ocean to end of land with all the other buildings crammed along the side of the mountains. I looked for your forum name. Just assumed you had a different name for the forum then you have for the game. Tell you the name of my side town, but for personal reasons, I don't want it publicly posted on the forum.i_set_fire wrote:
Now I keep people who have hacked towns.
I get all your other criteria, but why this one???k8rk8rk8r wrote:
My criteria is two fold, if they don't occasionally visit AND they do not have a tile for me to tap, adios. I have a ton of empty space now leading up to the Christmas event. I'll start filling slots once the update kicks in.
I no longer have a tile to tap *sniff* but at least I visit! :DArlandria606 wrote:

Oh I am so glad someone else has done a spreadsheet.....was starting to worry about having OCD (maybe should still!)
I keep people who visit regularly, whether it's daily, weekly even monthly. It doesn't matter if they house farm or not although its much more interesting to visit well put together towns....
