It seems that ea listened to our complaints and actually did something proactive, congratulations everybody, we defeated the chance based events. Thank you EA!
Who gives us good events, they doo! They dooo!
Yeah it really looks that way! I wonder if the petition helped too! :D
That and the amount of complaints ea support got - no wonder people weren't getting answered, there were too many complaints.
And I'm happy to say I was one of them! When they did finally get back to me I got donuts too which was a bonus! :thumbup:OnePoundBeef wrote:

Not to mention the one-star reviews and swift drop on the "top-grossing app" list.- And the splash screen is the best one yet.
Love the darker colors, adds to the sense of impending future.
Really hoping that the Nighthawk Diner is coming too. - I'm a bit annoyed, yesterday was the first day I didn't log in (I was doing History revision) and my iPad didn't auto update, so I've just found it today after putting my characters on 12/16 hour tasks. :P
Never mind, it was my fault anyway. I'll be able to enjoy it tomorrow.
EDIT: Just found out that the first task doesn't involve characters. I love it when things work out. - Well, the critizism of the community on chance based events has not got anything to do with creating the stone cutters event. This event and its mechanics were decided in december. Source: EA press contact on digital games.
- Definitely already liking this event more than Easter. I hate the chance based games. I would prefer that they also get away from auto-reach of the prizes. In other words - set a price for each item, and let me decide which order I get them. The first christmas event was like that, and I preferred it.
- I'm a relative newb; I just started playing in late February. So the Easter event was my first big event (not counting Saint Patrick's Day). I thought it was OK, but slightly frustrating.
But THIS EVENT IS SO MUCH BETTER!!! Now I see why all the long-term folks were complaining. Lots of cool prizes, fun things to do, and lots of variety. Love it!
