"Messy" Towns

That's exactly how I feel mystery2mi. I just feel that they've got their towns the way they want but do I really need that?

Normally those messy towns don't bother me, I just tap their buildings and get out. But during this event it's been a little frustrating because it takes a long time to find the casino people. I have a few who have an organized town but no roads just pavement layed out to look like roads. i wish they'd put down a strip by their casino at least :/.

I'm very tolerant of how others manage their towns (it is their town afterall), but Tetris towns drive me crazy! When there are events where you have to tap things and you can't see between the buildings and roads are non-existant, unfortunately I have to delete them. It already takes me ~1 hour per day to visit all my neighbors and I don't have time to wait for something to wander out from between all the buildings.

Don't feel bad, everyone has their own style of play and maybe they will find another Tetris town to be their new neighbor. :D

There had been a trend over the last few events to remove roads in an effort to make it easier to tap creatures. This was well intended, but I think some people may have overdone it. There are several level 59 towns whose entire group of characters collect on one tiny strip of roadway, making it impossible to single out anything at all to tap. This drives me nuts. Plus, it doesn't seem to be working for this event since the gamblers do not seem to be drawn to the roads. I still have to scroll all over looking for them.

The lack of roads can tend to make towns look messy. But then there are people who have towns that I refer to as "organized messes" - they basically stack all of their buildings one against the other with no spaces. It's also hard to tap individual things here, plus I have absolutely no idea where to find the gamblers.

I wish if people are going to remove their roads, they would leave enough road next to their landing area so that all of the characters are not bunched together on top of each other. I don't think they realize that their characters who are inside buildings are visible to visitors on the nearest patch of road making it impossible to tap anything! It may be working for them but it is he!! on their neighbors!

As I newer player who started during act 3 of the winter event I have a semi messy town because of the land being more expensive now that I kinda have things jammed next to each other until I can afford buying more land. I still have a decent amount of streets though. I keep focusing on getting more and more new characters that the land is something I've been buying only when I have no other choice. I really need to just take a whole week and only spend money on new land so I can organize things better.

I agree. I spend a lot of time working on my town to make it look like a town, and honestly I don't see the point of even playing of all you're going to do is just stack everything together to the point you can barely even see anything. But everyone has the right to play the way they want, and going along with that, I also have to right to drop people whose towns are just piles of stuff. So yes, I've reached the point where I've started dropping people whose towns are piles of buildings (unless they are long-time, great neighbors that visit practically every day) so that I can replace them with people whose towns are nice to look at.

It's your game. That means you choose the design of your own town.

It also means you choose your neighborhood. One of the only times in life you can select your neighbors. So do it!!

If you want a neighborhood full of well designed towns, that's totally your call and no reason to feel guilty.

I personally don't care too much because sometimes events require neighbor visits with a lot to tap, and sloppy noobs or house farmers often have items left when other neighbors don't. So don't shoot yourself in the foot eliminating quicker visit neighbors.

Guilt should only arise when you criticize your neighbor's creativity unfairly. We all work our own town. But otherwise, you are free to play the game how it pleases you most!

I've usually got a messy edge of town where I'm just randomly dropping new buildings as they come out, until I get enough to design a functional and cool looking area. Outside of that, I try and keep my town neat and unique.

I do kind of hate the 'garbage dump' towns that look like a game of 52 pick up with buildings.

Personally, Been playing the whole time... I know there are Many reasons one may have a messy town - I'm in the middle of wrangling one myself right now.... It's when I notice they haven't done anything in a long time I may drop someone - but mostly, I give it time and understanding - You Never know Why someone is stalled out on their town.
