I believe that really depends on the issue don't you think? I'm sure the new moderators each bring their own set of skills to be able to with with issues to the best of their abilities. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss them as simple post editors.

Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't call them "simple" anything, and I certainly wasn't dismissive. The poster above me asked about a customer service issue, and I stand by my statement, that's not their job. If you want to waste your time asking them to refund your donuts, or whatever other in-game issue you're having, go for it, just promise to hold your breath.

Putting words in your mouth was not my intent so I do apologize if it came off that way. I do realize they would not be able to help with customer service issues but what is unclear is if the poster you are referring to really does have a genuine CS issue or not without first better describing the problem at hand.
