More land

Since this game is going to last for quite some time, shouldn't EA add more land to purchase & keep adding more land to buy?

You got an additional row of land when the Superheros 2 event started.
  • As someone who has been playing since Day 1, and is a completist who has 1 of everything released (or more for things like trees, fences, and certain other decorations), I think they're releasing new land at an acceptable pace. I still have 2 strips worth open on the right side (east side, as the water is to the south based on maps of Springfield seen online), and multiple spots spread across two where I can insert buildings and decorations. I probably have 3-4 strips worth of open land altogether.

If you're out of land, it may be due to house farming, or large lakes or forest areas, or just multiples of the same building taking up space, at which point you're likely close to the item limit anyway.

I don't know. To each their own, but there's plenty of land, and as said every recent event seems to offer a new strip. Both the Casino event and Superhero 2 events opened a new strip of land each.

That said I am looking forward to them opening more land in Springfield Heights so I can move a few more buildings there.

Might not be a popular opinion
Hopefully not. I think that the strips should stay as one of our uses for Money. Some other things might be more appropriate for a donut early-release. You can spend way more donuts on the event track prizes than they're worth if you'd like. Some people apparently do. Maybe there's some other features that people could have their hand at first, maybe beta style.
