Multi-character tasks

Umm are they actually required for her to babysit? I had that task before I had Rod and Todd and I didn't think it needed them. I also know I've sent Grandpa to babysit Bart and Lisa and they aren't needed for the task?

I'm pretty sure if one or both of them is occupied Lisa no longer has the task available. Before they were playable characters in the game she could do it without them, but I'm fairly certain that once they were in the game that was no longer an option.

Right. That's kind of like how Krusty isn't required for Kent Brockman to play poker with him, which has also been a bothersome inconsistency for me. I'm most concerned about the disparity in earnings, though :/
  • I think that maybe you do earn triple, or double the money. It just displays differently. Try counting up the money the task pays out, take away your multiplier, and see.
  • I'll play with what happens once the Halloween event is over. She's been trick or treating since it's been available. I'm all for collecting all the goo possible as long as it leads to donuts, so we'll see.. If anyone else wants to test in the interim, I'm all for it!

What would be the point of the game having a different payout than the task list shows?

It may just be the payout for that particular character, the other two characters might get their own payout. I haven't counted it, but I always seem to get a lot of cash from the joint tasks, compared to single tasks.
  • I think I counted once and saw that I did receive money and XP for three characters, but maybe I'm only imagining I did. It does seem weird that some tasks require both but some don't. Sherri and Terri have "torment Bart" but Bart doesn't have to be free for them to do it.
  • You get the pay for all 3 characters. The problem, I think, is that it says it only pays out for 1 character, but you get the money for all 3.

Hmm. Wonder if anyone has checked Sherri and Terri for this. Will report back with findings.

Conclusion: the task lists a payout for one character ... and that is indeed what you get when you collect the $ and XP. No surprise, there.

You don't for Sherri and Terri because they are 1 character. Kinda odd that twins Sherri and Terri are 1 character and twins Patty and Selma are two characters.

Nope, far from odd: Patty and Selma are two quite distinct and very different characters on the show (especially when it comes to their love lives), whereas nothing I could think of makes Sherri different from Terri .

Can't you just note the irony and be done with it.
