Multiple visit notification

I got one neighbor that I get multiple notifications from to. Nichole or something like that. Usually spaced out over an a few hours. I dont notice more things from her tapped but i dont really look to see if there are more from her either

My personal experience---
I visit a town and tap 3 buildings. Go to the next town and crash. The 3 I just previously tapped didn't save in my town so I can go back in and retap 3 buildings. But it shows up in my neighbors town as tapped.

If your neighbor is doing this over a couple of hours, I can only assume he/she crashed and continued on his/her visits and later went back to retap you.

But I could be wrong. :)

ps i thought the notifications we get were per neighbor click (as usually i will get a couple of notifications for each neighbor)...might be wrong, all i know is i want a way to turn off neighbor notifications but leave on game notifications

I recall this happening in previous major events. I think it's just a glitch or could be due to crashing during visits from neighbors. You can go into your phone/device settings and disable notifications for the game if it's bugging you. No way to solely disable neighbor visit notifications.

yeah i have left them on because i still like getting game notifications. i recently made a post requesting ability to disable neighbor notifications or at least change the notification. having homer yell out something all the time is annoying and i hate having to silence my phone of all audio notifications every time i leave my home just because of tapped out notifications. every other app i have is a nice discrete "ding" or something.

I kept getting multiple notifications that the same person was visiting my town over and over again all day long. And it was my other town. It's a glitch. And I am SO glad I finally got notifications turned off in this game.

Im glad you guys didn't come up with something obvious that I was just unaware of. Many thanks for taking the time to respond. I hope it's nothing that's in my town that is causing the crashes for the poor guy. The was one neighbour of mine that used to cause me to crash but I think he used some kind of cheat.
I'm also getting more crashes of late but it's usually after I send a load of guys on jobs via the unemployment office thingy majig or whilst collecting a bunch of rents.

Someone had posted a while ago that they received notifications whenever a real life friend even logged in to their game- not even visiting. So definitely are some odd glitches with the notifications.
