Need more land expansion
Squidport will include (I think) 2x13 rows of land for you to expand out to sea with. It will cost you roughly $2million.

If my town wasn't so lush, I would need extra land. I still have 19 land to purchase. I think with 6 to 9 months, I will need land though unless I rearrange my town completely. I think EA knows this and by end of the year, we will get more land.
