I don't get it, everyone wants the Helter Shelter but it doesn't look that great and doesn't come with a character... Is it just for completionists?
Completionists, not that that's a bad thing. It's limited and a new building, that's all.Gqhusla22 wrote:
I have the shelter....it's really no biggie...I would trade it for the yeti in a heartbeat
Why? The yeti is a walking decoration that is really not worth all the fuss it's been getting. At least the shelter generates some cash.
(...Do real-life shelters turn a profit? Doesn't seem like they would.)- Why complaining - I've been spinning ever since the start and I still need to get:
Santa's Little Helper snow statue
Yeti
Claus
Mr Plow
Plow King
so ... you are lucky - only two prices left to get for you.
In my opinion Mr Plow and Plow King are the best to get - I really want them. Today I've spun the wheel
three times and I've also gotten my usual 3000 cash - better luck next time, hopefully AND we got
one extra week so we should be thankful. (I seem to remember Mr Plow cost 90 donuts last year ...
and now we have a chance at getting it for free - which you did - not good enough?) smileee :D - I received the Yeti on my second spin and attained all the prizes at 40K. The yeti is no big deal.
- I attained everything at 140k. It took me a while to get the shelter but I didn't stop believing i could get it and I did.
Don't give up and just keep on trucking :-) MDElliott13 wrote:
Yeah, I got the Yeti very early too. No tasks, so it's useless. I'm still needing Mr Plow, ClausCo, and Helter Shelter. Don't care about Plow King as I don't have Barney.
I received the Yeti on my second spin and attained all the prizes at 40K. The yeti is no big deal.- I cleared the wheel today. The Yeti is another walking decoration Does not do a good job sweeping the streets. The shelter will generate money (Hey Wiggums and the Mayor are corrupt why not).
I place the shelter in the seedier part of town near the bachelor arms, Duff stadium and Costingtons - I completely understand the frustration of wanting a limited time building. I've been stuck on the Yeti for about 2 weeks. I'm just happy I got everything else, so I really don't care if I get it or not. Especially with it being a non quest character. But I must admit, it is a bit annoying that with 90k+ gift cards I haven't won it yet. (Not to mention I bought 30 spins when the event first began).
- Yeah I don't care if I get the frosted giant but that shelter works for me as a back entrance building facing my north (which completely sounds insane) and the thing that really grinds my gears is I'm spinning for two weeks and always landing on the same 1k$. I've gotten everything else and appreciate the gAme. I even rationalized my appreciation and bought the boatload of donuts on Xmas for future events and submarines - thanks Ea for entertaining me the last few months - but I swear if that bloody wheel arbitrarily spins with my slightest touch or lands on that bloody 1k$ Till the 14th and I don't get that stupid shelter, I'm gonna throw this iPad against the wall and then blame EA for the cost of buying a new one!!!!?,M$l@k&g;
- In any normal distribution, a tiny percentage get everything very early (I am in this group).
The vast majority get everything around the middle of the event. This also seems correct based on threads.
Then, there is the other tiny percentage who are at the far end of the bell curve and may never hit everything within the time frame.
It is a fact (obviously an unwelcome fact to those affected) that the fact that some are still waiting tends to prove that the wheel is not fixed!
You are not a victim of EA fixing the wheel, you are a "victim" of random probability :(
