They are needed when the feature we get is not what was asked for. For years we have been asking for group storage to organize our items that are not currently in our town. What we got was a group items that fit inside the area select tool. This is not helpful to storage organization at all. And is half baked as a remember how I had it layed out tool as you need to have several groups to hold a themed area because the extreme limit in area select size.
