New group items feature is junk

I still wish when i store them they don't store the character so I could move them and place them but the character would stay on road

I agree, but by now Ive gotten used to itb so when I go to edit mode, I automatically hit the ground button so it wont pick up the dirt, concrete, etc so its not as annoying as it was at first.

didn’t realize you could do that, thanks for that. i haven’t messed with it much but will keep that in mind!

Yeah it literally picks up everything but the grass now. And you can store entire sections of your town as is and put them back when you want to

Now if we can only store grass...

We could create designs involving dirt patches.

I learned by playing around with it. I found a clear spot and took some stuff out of storage and arranged it a certain way, then stored it different ways to see what was what. Originally, I had the same reaction as the OP, but I think now that I sorta know what I am doing, its not as bad

So i haven't tried it, but am i hearing you right, that if you want all your extra Valentine's items in one group in your inventory, you place everything all together somewhere on the grass, then collect it all at once? Is that it?

Wait so you have to place items to store them in group storage? No way to just select somehow? And you can’t name the storage? Seems just as pointless. Especially if you’re trying to get all special events together, every time you place something and go back into inventory it starts at the beginning again.....

Also it seems once you’ve grouped everything you can’t add anything to that group. So if you miss 1 Xmas item you have to place them all over again to add the 1 missing..... which means your groups can only be as big as the space you’re allowed to select....... unless I’m doing something wrong.
