Dear Americans, please try scones with a dab of jam and butter, preferably with your morning tea. Your life will be changed forever.
To be fair Lissa is right, they are slightly different than scones, being more savoury. What they call biscuits look like scones though and they do have them with gravy.
And for a proper English Cream Tea, one must have proper tea from the pot (Assam or Earl Grey or possibly Darjeeling), along with cake, biscuits (real ones) and scones with real jam and clotted cream (preferably cornish). [/quote
