When do you guys think the next big event will roll around??
Im talking 4 acts, unlocked land, and things to tap away in our towns!

The Christmas event with the elf cannon & the gifts littered all over town was the best think they did. Now everything seems boring & generic. I don’t even read the speech bubbles anymore.
I loved that event ... The problem would be we couldn't do that at this point because of the expanse of land currently in the game and the overwhelming number of buildings. That event was Christmas 2014. I just found a land chart from August 2014 that displays the number of total land squares available. It was 15 x 15 (that's including water squares.) For that Christmas event, It was fun zipping around neighbor towns looking for and dropping bouncing gift boxes. It was possible. And challenging.
There was no Springfield Heights at that time. I believe that at this time there are roughly 40 x 40 squares. I do not think that includes Springfield Heights, btw.
I just can't imagine it working. Perhaps they could have a system wherein actions could be limited to a specific radius from the event's center. I definitely would like the upcoming events to be interactive!"4junk3000;c-2059424" wrote:
Timing seems to suggest an Easter event next. That's what I'd expect. But no one knows until the PR and LPN always clues us in. So just chill, collect land tokens and be ready.
I agree, it could be an Easter event coming up which I hope comes with land tokens and makes a reference to the other Easter event from 5 years ago with some destroyed egg baskets and boxes decorations. There could be a tie in to April Fools Day during the event."10AAA10;c-2059587" wrote:

If they have an event that includes friend interaction, i wish they could set up our friend screen so that when we go to visit each day the scroll begins with the next friend in line to be helped, based on where we left off the previous day.

Here's what I mean: A while back they limited the number of friends you could help to ten. That is, I was only allowed to drop event whatchamacallit gift/gremlin/egg/Valentine to ten neighbours per day. This caused major (IMHO) imbalance between those friends whose names begin with the letter "A" and those whose names begin with, for instance, the letter "T". And every day, on opening our friend screen, the default position is at the beginning of the alphabet. And people like Willy9292 above, got screwed. (What? You're still reading this?)
I wish it could use mechanics similar to this forum wherein when I open a thread, i am taken to the first unread message rather than the beginning of the thread. So that when i go to drop my gifts, etc, i start with the "next" friends on my list.

Never mind. Let's just leave the game mechanics the way they are. Forget I even mentioned it.

I dispute this.... I visited @Willy9292 every other day during those type of events... due to my unique style that was in no way copied from anything I may have seen on this forum of constantly hitting the right arrow after visiting Other Springfield one day and the left button the next day...

LOL. you're right about those unlucky "M" people. One other option would be for the friend screen starting point to shift/advance for all players by two letters each day. So, the first day, when we open our friend screen, the first names would be the "A" names. The second day, the first names would be "C" ... And so forth. With that system, Musterino's group would be at the beginning on the 7th day. (How Biblical.)
I don't think the programming change to accomplish this would be THAT complicated. (Frankly, I'd like this system to also be applied to the Town Hall census. It didn't used to be a big deal when the game had 60 characters. But with 400 characters, it has become an issue IMO.)
Risking sounding like an old timer (I am) friends used to be listed RANDOMLY trying to avoid the alphabet situation, but that was sheer frustration. I used to argue on this forum that friends should be listed by date added, oldest first to keep it simple. Instead EA went to the alphabet (I guess the thinking was you could find your favorite neighbors easier) while still encouraging 100 neighbors.
I STILL would like my oldest neighbors listed first :)
