I have a lot of respect for the creativity on this forum, but personally, I focus on trying to stay true to the show. I look at images of buildings from the show, and try to emulate them. That and using the Springfield guide map, is how I'm playing. I want the most accurate Springfield possible. Of course it's impossible to recreate the show, because locations and surrounding decorations are always different, but for me, therein lies the challenge.
