On american pride

Hello.

This is more a cultural thing than game question but it does come from the game. The 4hre job for Catain Bob is "Carry Himself With Pride" and in it he waves Union Jack while marcing up and down. Noe is pride and dignity opposte or uncoupled virtues in US? Most of pride in Europe is just a way of keeping ones wits up in this complex world and it is not about marching up an down and shout out loud. It's more of keeping ones dignity and doing ones duty.

    I think the suggestion that it is "prideful" may be exaggerated here. But yes, many displays of pride are very undignified in America. People here are excessively self absorbed. We have a serious problem with nationalists thinking they are patriots; which is absolutely not the same at all.

    That said, this is the wrong place for discussing anything that could be considered political. You could explore this in the OffTopic section, but I dont advise discussing it here at all. Similar threads in the past have all derailed badly
