OT. anybody gona watch

Won't be watching it live but will catch up on it on a news website afterwards.
  • PS4 all the way. Nothing that comes from Microsoft is good... I did watch the announcement, but I still think Xbox is like a black hole for money. Pay to play on-line, pay to play games you paid for... pay, pay, pay. And yet, they just talked about it as it was just an entertainment center (watch movies, online stuff...) rather than focusing on the gaming part. MS sure knows how to dig their own gravestone.
  • We as Microsoft would officially like to announce that the Xbox One will be coming out at the low low price of $800
  • Ok, so my computer cut half of my comment. It looks good but I'll wait till the price drops to get it and stick with my 360 for now.
  • Not only that I've got both consoles and I have been through 3 360's due to the flashing lights of death compared to one ps3. IMO ps is much better quality, in its controllers and the console itself, least you can move the ps3 while your playing. Xbox nope it just rings ur disks, very very poor craftsmanship indeed.

All of sony's consoles have been attractive? Are you forgetting the ps3 looked like a george forman grill when it was first released?

It definitely looked better than the eyesores Microsoft pumps out. Apparently they thought so as well, because the revamped 360 clearly borrowed a lot of styling ques from the PS3.
  • 500GB Hard Drive? Seriously? Can you even buy Hard Drives that small anymore? Should have been at least 1TB.

With all the animosity MS created due to the RROD, they better have incredible QC on this next console. I barely play games, and I still had to return my system twice due to the RROD. I also agree that the outside is very ugly, but I guess it's what inside that counts. Will have to wait and see before I draw any real conclusions.

Never really understood the whole Sony vs. Microsoft fanboys/girls, the majority of the games are on both systems, and I really could care less which one (if not both) I buy.

I just want to have fun while I play it, couldnt care less what it looks like or whose name is on the console.

  • Some people just need constant reassurance that they made the right choice.

IMO the best choice is whatever most of your friends have. No point in arguing which system is better if all of your buddies are playing the other one without you.

Thats probably the first arguement for or against any system that made ANY sense to me.

Cause let's face it, no matter how much more powerful your system of choice is, 99% of the games are going to be made to meet the capabilities of the weaker system. Sure, some textures might look a little smoother on one system, or might load half a second faster on another, but when it comes down to it, do you really care or notice?

OH, and one more thing, Sony and Microsoft, stop showing video of games on your console that doesnt even appear in the game! I want to see in game, playable video only, I could care less how polished the cutscenes are if they make the rest of the game look like junk in comparison.

E3 is in 19 days... thats where we will see the games.

I'm not saying that they didn't show the actual games. I saying they didn't focus on the gaming part. Didn't say much about stuff they've done to it to improve it. Btw, I know what E3 is... I've been there before.
