LOL that chocolate must have been really good. I would have been like "Was it worth it?" I don't they are ever too young to start reasoning with them and teaching them about consequences.
I can honestly say that our child has never gotten anything he wasn't supposed to get. Even now, at 10, he will ask before getting something from the kitchen. It's always yes but he's learned it is just best to ask.
