Let's just start off with the fact that tapping cute little elves is a million times more fun than tapping big ol' Feds (who look like Legs and Louis). Firing the cannon is a lot of fun too, even in friends' towns. It also looks like the prizes will be a lot easier to get, which is great! I'm very happy right now. :)
Edit: I just looked at the updated Bell count for the prizes, and nevermind, it doesn't look like they'll be easier to get. Oh well, I'm still happy with it. :)

Really wish they'd explain these events rather than letting us fumble about figuring it out.
We're always told enough to get started and play the event.
Players who care about details like the rate of elf generation can either observe it for themselves or go to forums like this one. It is not necessary to know this type of information in order to play the event successfully.
From posts on this forum, it is clear that there is already too much verbiage in the game for some people, since there's always someone asking about something that was explained within the game itself. Adding more, arguably unnecessary, information would make this situation worse.- To be quite honest you might be shocked but I prefer part 1. Collecting the currency was much easier due to the regular 4h tasks and elves being able to collect currency, while you now have to wait for a random cannon every 4hs. The Feds were rather pointless but were easy to tap and easy to send quickly, meaning that you get through your friends in a small amount of time. This is different in part 2, where you have to spend time finding spaces to tap in each time. I feel that going around your town in annoying, as spending all day tapping on rather stupid floating elves is not top of my wish list. Part 1 could be done much quicker and allowed me to still get all the prizes and have a life, but now it is going to be very time consuming with this update halting my daily routine, and things such as the cannon don't make sense.
- This is a far cry from figuring out why putting pink eggs in a blue basket gets you more blue eggs when you're collecting pink eggs. I don't mind it at all. I like the cannon a lot. Same with the elves. Not knowing how many are in my town adds an edge of mystery and surprise.

I must concur...part 1 felt more "regular"...this seems too random. I feel like I'm constantly having to check in to clear the tunnel hatch and cannon for my neighbors. Maybe I'm a bit soured on it too because thanks to the Christmas day lockout I'm now behind on bell collection and about 1/3 of my neighbors haven't yet reached the point where I can get bells from their towns.- I haven't seen anywhere why only some elves give out cogs... is that supposed to be that way?

It fits in with the story - some elves have cogs in their pockets, some don't.
Edit: in theory, then, none of the female elves should have cogs, since they are wearing dresses without pockets.barryriddl474 wrote:

100% agree!

Only sad there is no new caracther with tasks in the prizes. :cry:22steelpaw wrote:

Their dresses could have pockets. I have a dress with pockets that you can't even tell has pockets since they blend into the seam.- If you manage to get a bunch of elves crammed into one space and tap them rapidly, you end up creating your own Lorde song.
