The cooon was not placed in the inventory.
He's just a little fella so I'm sure he's hiding somewhere

Found him. On my umpteenth time of slowly looking through my Springfield.

Tickle (tap) him :lol:

Tip to find characters: Use move tool (four-sided-yellow arrows) ... then use the three icons at the bottom right of the screen to fade out everything else. (See how, in some of the images below, the right two icons are yellow ... and the characters "pop" off the screen for you. The other images are with all three icons undimmed.)

Finding the racoon in this screen is a pain:




But it's a lot easier to spot him HERE:



Same thing works for all characters. The snow background makes it a lot less vivid than when it's not snowing, but you can get a little idea of how vivid they become when all else is dimmed:
