Place 3 bonsai trees quest

I was asking these questions on a different thread. I am not being given the option to plant a bonsai in Akira's task menu, so it looks like I need to call them. Weird, I've never done that before. Ooooooo.

So, I too it appears have the issue where no trees grow.... Has anyone had success with EA support AND been able to continue growing them on cycle afterwards?

Yes. They resolved it completely for me. After I called EA I tried the 3 part task again, like the rep had asked, and got a bonsai tree.

If you have the problem, you've called them and they have given you the trees, try the 3 part task again and if it doesn't work (if the tree does not appear in your inventory) open another ticket referencing the first ticket number (that's what the rep asked me to do if it continued not to work).

Hmmm, bummer that this quest has some issues. I guess it's not so terrible that I haven't been able to afford Akira yet. Maybe they'll get things worked out by the time I get some more Opinion Rewards.

Are you certain? All the walkthroughs say a message pops up after A Deep Bonsai of Relief Pt. 3 saying, "Make Akira Plant, Prune, and Re-pot to get more Bonsai!"




Part 4 is apparently when you are told to place three bonsai.

If I had the character, I would check the popups myself, and screenshot them, but I'm only a third of the way to affording him right now.

Yes there is indeed a popup that says "Make Akira Plant, Prune, and Re-pot to get more Bonsai!" I saw it myself. I think a lot of people (like me) tap too fast and miss these popups sometimes.

Also, there are these popups if you complete Database's Bonsai questline without having bought Akira:
