I paid a visit to my inventory recently and noticed I had 4 characters in there. I assume it had something to do with the KL Nuke. In the inventory, I had Sheri and Teri, Moleman, Jasper and the seizure robot. All are free again.

Thanks to those who posted on this. I found SVT, Moleman, Sheri/Teri and Kearney. My Springfield feels nicely overpopulated again.

I had to break some characters out of inventory also when the event started, except for Fatov who has a life sentence! >:)

Yep! I just went back in and freed those who were still in there! ;)
